EPDM rubber is our most popular flat roof system. It is a single-ply membrane that is bonded to the roof deck and sealed at all edges and penetrations. EPDM is highly durable, UV-resistant and carries a 20-year manufacturer guarantee — with a realistic lifespan of 30–50 years when properly installed. It is suitable for most flat roof applications and is particularly good on roofs with complex shapes or multiple penetrations.
Torch-on felt is a two-layer system using modified bitumen sheets that are heat-welded to the roof deck. It is a proven, cost-effective system that has been used in the UK for decades. Modern torch-on felt systems carry a 15–20 year guarantee and are a reliable choice for garages, extensions and outbuildings.
GRP fibreglass is the premium option for flat roofs. It is a seamless, rigid system that is extremely durable and virtually maintenance-free. GRP is particularly popular on extensions where a clean, modern finish is required. It carries a 25-year guarantee and can last considerably longer.
Every flat roof installation begins with stripping the existing covering and inspecting the roof deck. If the deck boards are rotten or damaged, we replace them before the new system goes on. We ensure proper drainage falls are in place and that all edges, upstands and penetrations are correctly detailed and sealed.
